Decorated with bells and home-made garlands of flowers, the cows return from the Piffalm on the Großglockner to the local stable of the Bruck agricultural college, with the first stop in Fusch. Locals and guests can enjoy delicious regional delicacies like "Bladl" – filled pasties, a spicy autumn beer and a schnapps, and watch the vintage tractors and the solemn entrance of the band in traditional costume.
The celebrations continue with live music, singing and dancing in the harvest festival marquee. Traditional Plattler groups (where the performers stomp, clap and strike the soles of their shoes, thighs and knees with their flat of their hand), and alphorn players help make the harvest festival week in Bruck an der Großglocknerstraße one of the most original and spectacular autumn harvest festival events in the Salzburg region.
